This is the Discovery GAME, where we discover spiritual truths through storytelling.
Adam & Eve
.The world was newly made
.And it had not yet rained
.Streams arose from across the earth
.To quench a garden’s thirst.
.God formed a man from the dust
.And breathed life into his lungs
.He placed the man in Eden,
.A garden that they could meet in.
.Adam was put to work care for what was made,
.He would eat from trees, or simply sit in their shade
.Two trees, however, in the middle were very special
.The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
.The LORD God told the man, “You may eat from all trees but one,
.For the day you eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil your days will be done.
.Then God said, “It is not good for man to be by himself.”
.Adam needed some help, so God made someone else.
.Adam gave names to all the animals and birds.
.But out of them all came no suitable helpers.
.God caused him to sleep and cut open his side
.And from Adam’s own rib, God made him a bride!
.He closed up the wound, and then very soon,
.Adam awoke and sang the very first tune
.“Bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh! That’s what I see!
.She shall be called ‘woman,’ for she came out of a man, even me!”
.That is why a man leaves his dad and his mom
.And cleaves to his wife, with her hand in his palm.
.Adam and his bride were both undressed
.They felt no shame. Their marriage was blessed.
