This is the Discovery GAME, where we discover spiritual truths through storytelling.
The First Sin
.The Serpent was the craftiest of all that was made.
.He asked to the woman if God really forbade
.Her and her husband to eat fruit off the trees
.“No,” she said, “we only die if we touch one of these.”
.As she pointed to the tree at the garden’s center
.The serpent said, “You will not die,” then began to tell her,
.“God knows that if you eat it you will become special
.It will make you like Him, knowing good and evil.
.The woman saw the fruit and believed it was alright
.If she grabbed the fruit from the serpent and took a bite.
.Then brought some to share back with her husband
.And when he ate it too, their eyes were both opened.
.They sewed leaves together, for they were both ashamed,
.As they saw they were naked, but just then God came.
.So they hid among the trees, then God called for the man.
.“I’m naked and afraid! When I heard you, I ran!”
.“Who told you you’re naked, have you eaten from the tree?
.I was given some by that woman you put here with me!
.So God asked the woman, “What is this you have done?”
.“The serpent deceived me, he gave me more than one!”
.So God told the Serpent, “ Cursed are you above all
.You’ll eat dust all your life as you are forced to crawl
.The woman and her offspring will hate you and yours,
.Though you strike his heel, he will crush your head on the floor.”
